Testing Your Way To Profits:^
In terms of online business, there are two types of comparative testing that you can apply to the pages of your site, A/B, split or back-to-back testing as against multivariate testing. The first of these is obviously relatively straightforward and basic, as you are testing one version of your webpage against another on which very few , or often, only one change has been made. Multivariate testing, on the other hand, means that you are testing several variables at the same time, which obviously means that the analysis of any results that you obtain from your tests is somewhat more complex. Nevertheless, it is certainly possible to run a very effective multivariate testing campaign by using some great free software which we will look at in a lot more detail later. There are, of course, paid software programs that claim to do a far more indepth job, but, from my own testing, I am not so sure that they do so. Hence, I am going to focus on the free software to show how you can set up various multivariate testing experiments.
For now, however, let us consider the two different types of testing, before considering why and how you would use them.
When you are split testing, you take two version of what is essentially the same page (with very few changes) and run both of them to see which of the two versions converts the best.
Once you have established that fact, then use the better performing version as your control page, and test that control page against yet another variation. You allow both of these variations to run until you have sufficient visitor statistics to make any results that you are seeing valid, and then do the same thing yet again.
The important thing to note here is that you always use the best performing variation of your page as your control, and any time you create a variation that performs worse than your existing page, then you continue to run with the existing page, rather than changing it.
The importance of constantly testing pages against one another in this manner cannot be over emphasized, so let us look in little more detail at how you might run a simple back to back testing campaign on a page on your website.
The first thing to say is that no element of your webpage should be ignored when you are testing, but for a simple back to back split test to have any validity you must change only one element of your page at a time.
Back to back testing should be an ongoing process, and one that starts from a macro level and gradually works down to the finite (micro) details.
For example, if you are want to split test different versions of your headline, then you should off by changing only the headline, but do so completely. You might start your test with one headline that reads "*Tons* Of Ultra- Responsive Targeted Traffic To Your Website - Even If You Are An Online Marketing Newbie!” whilst the other reads "The Secret Way To Drive A Truckload Of Targeted Visitors to Your Site Starting Today".
These two headlines could not be any more different, so you are still working at the ‘macro-level’ by making large scale changes. That is generally how you would start your back to back testing campaign.
You then need to have a reasonable number of visitors to both of these pages so that you can ascertain which one performs better.
Of course, the more visitors you manage to land on your site before you decide to decide which page to keep and which to lose, the more valid that decision will be. On the other hand, however, driving too many visitors to a page that is not converting well is wasting one of your most valuable assets, your site traffic.
So, there is a balancing act to be performed between jumping in to curtail the test too quickly, and allowing too many visitors to view your test pages before you decide to make a decision.

Email Marketing List Building "No-No's":^
There are certain things you should never do when trying to
NEVER BUY AND SEND BULK EMAIL TO PEOPLE
You won’t make any money sending bulk emails to people. Why? Because they are garbage. They are worthless. By now you must have done some research on list building or you wouldn’t be reading this book. You may see ads that promise thousands of email addresses for less than $50. If you see ads like this, know you are working with a bulk mail company.
While having thousands of subscribers would be great, it isn’t great if you are getting your names from a bulk mailing list. Bulk companies get their email addresses by using automatic tools, including robots on the Web.
If you buy the list, there is a very good chance you are buying a list of names of people that don’t want to be advertised to for the product you are offering. You risk being labeled a spammer. If no one asked to subscribe to your mailing list and you send them an email, what are you doing? You are spamming them.
Spamming people is the number one way to fail at building your subscriber list. Bulk mailing ads are useless. Avoid them at all costs if you want to run a successful campaign.
Bulk mailing lists also are not targeted. Targeted lists are lists that have the names and contact information of people that would have an active interest in buying what it is you have to offer. If you buy a bulk list, you run the risk of trying to sell a female hormonal cream to a man interested in sports gear. Not a good combination.
Now let’s look at another popular scam used on the web to pull new business owners in and trick them into spending their hard earned money on traffic and list building programs that don’t work.
Guaranteed Traffic Scam
Many new business owners are tempted by offers of “guaranteed” traffic for a very low price. Now, these companies may send 100,000 or more visitors to your website, but you may not get a single subscriber or make a single sale.
Why? Traffic is generated by pop up windows appearing on other websites. Your website is loaded into a pop up window. So, someone may be surfing the net and your website pops up below the site he is searching. This results in sending out your website to thousands of untargeted customers. The key to success in list building is creating a list of TARGETED customers.
Targeted customers are customers that are most likely to be interested in buying your product. They have, in some way, offered their information and stated that they have an interest in a product. Let’s say you sell beauty products. You want a targeted list of consumers, mostly women, interested in buying beauty products on the Web. If you get a list of untargeted customers, your business will go nowhere. Most untargeted customers won’t buy anything, and they don’t want to be hassled by traffic generating pop ups.
Creating High Quality Content to Increase Traffic^
If you're willing to exchange high quality content for traffic, there are a number of different traffic strategies that you can use to propel your promotional campaigns, and ultimately, flood your website with qualified visitors. One of these strategies involves article marketing. With article marketing, you simply create keyword-rich content, submit it into the popular article directories and wait for traffic to start flooding your site.
The downside to article marketing is that it does involve a bit of time, especially if you plan to create the majority of your content yourself. However, there is one misconception to article marketing that has prevented many new marketers from exploring its incredible potential to deliver targeted traffic.
Many entrepreneurs believe that it's all in the QUANTITY of the articles you submit rather than the quality. In truth, while the more articles you have in circulation, the more traffic you'll receive, focusing first on creating rich, quality and relevant content for your niche will help you generate TARGETED visitors. So, while you may have less traffic, the traffic you do receive will be genuinely interested in what you have to offer.
To create your first article marketing campaign, you should have 5-10 quality articles created. Your articles don't have to be longer than 300 words in length, but make sure that you have chosen a keyword-rich title for each article that you plan to submit into the article directories. The titles you use with your articles will ultimately determine the exposure you'll receive as both the major search engines like Google.com and Yahoo.com, as well as the article directories themselves, with categorize and rank your article content based on the keywords found within your titles. You also want to make sure that you repeat your primary keyword in the first few lines of each article that you create. This will help you gain exposure within the search engines, who will pull and publish a portion of your article when someone enters related keywords into the search engines. And there is also another important factor to keep in mind:
Many of the article directories will not accept duplicated content, which means that you will want to submit your original material into these directories first, wait for approval - and then submit the content into other directories. The giant of all article directories online is Ezine Articles , so you'll want to focus your attention on submitting content into this directory first, followed by other directories, in the following order:
Also keep in mind that not only will you generate traffic from direct visitors who read your articles, but if webmasters choose to republish your content on their websites, you will also gain additional exposure from THEIR visitors, as well!
Now, one of the most critical components of a successful article marketing campaign is in your "Author's Resource Box", which is a short author bio attached to all of your articles. This is where you will include a call to action, prompting readers to click your link and visit your website. You need to think of your author's resource box as you would a short commercial, highlighting the benefits of visiting your site and showcasing an incentive offer, which will motivate readers into taking action. One of the most common ways of creating a compelling incentive offer is by developing a stand-alone product that you offer for free to those who visit your site. Not only will this help to drive targeted traffic to your website, but you can set up your incentive offer to be delivered to those who subscribe to your mailing list. Incentive offers can include many different things such as:
- Free reports, sent to subscribers immediately upon subscribing.
- Free ebooks, either full length or "leaked chapters" of a paid product.
- Free video tutorials or guides that help your readers in some way.
- Free newsletters, or eCourses that offer training sent out by weekly emails.
Your incentive offer can be nearly anything you feel is relevant towards what your intended audience would be interested in. You can create it yourself, outsource it to qualified freelancers or use existing private label content to develop a quality offer, it's entirely up to you.
Set up your squeeze page so that it showcases your incentive, and include an opt-in box (generated by an autoresponder provider like http://www.mailchimp.com ), so you can begin collecting leads. This way, you will always be able to follow up with potential customers later on, ensuring that your article marketing campaigns are helping you directly build your business.
Finally, be careful choosing relevant keywords within your articles. Keywords are what will power up your article marketing campaigns and you need to make sure that they are all highly optimized and focused around the questions and concerns that your target audience have. Think about what your prospective audience base would likely search for, what they are entering into the search engines, and what they are most interested in. Then, include those keywords in your article title and content itself.
